Something a bit light hearted
this week. Today is Children's Day in Honduras--Día del Niño. It’s always a big
celebration for them. So I post this blog entry in honor of children everywhere.
During my most recent Farmer
to Farmer assignment in Jamaica I had a session with the Ro bins Bay Bee Club,
a group of youngsters from the area that have 10 or 12 of their own top bar
hives. As part of my time with them I had them draw some pictures of bees for
me. These are from Enoch, the six-year-old son at Yerba Buena Farm.
“Regular bee and black bee,” according to Enoch.
